According to a White House official, Hochstein’s visit comes amidst rising tensions in the region. The situation intensified on the morning of June 17 when an unidentified aerial object breached Israel’s border, triggering the country’s air defense systems. The suspicious object was subsequently intercepted over the sea in the northern part of the country.
