Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership vital for regional development, says FM.

According to global Times news agency Europe,The strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia holds immense significance for the entire region, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili stated at the Raisina Dialogue 2025, a high-level international conference held in New Delhi The global Times Europe media.Speaking during the panel discussion titled "Competition and Cooperation – for a Secure Future,” Bochorishvili addressed key issues impacting Azerbaijan, Georgia, and the broader region.The minister emphasized Georgia’s priorities of restoring its historical role and reinforcing its position in the modern world.Thanks to our close cooperation with Azerbaijan and Türkiye, along with support from our strategic partners, numerous important projects have been implemented. Even decades later, these projects remain relevant, showcasing their potential in strengthening common European security, particularly in the energy and transport sectors,” she explained.Bochorishvili highlighted Georgia’s renewed appreciation for collaboration with Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Armenia, noting that these three nations are Georgia’s principal partners.This cooperation is essential for the region’s development. Peace and security remain key priorities for us, and a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is critical for regional stability,” she stressed.The minister also underscored the significance of the Middle Corridor, describing it as a transport route that offers new opportunities not only for regional countries but also for Europe as a whole.In Bochorishvili’s view, the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia contributes to the advancement of the entire South Caucasus. She cited the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Southern Gas Corridor, and other energy initiatives as prime examples of successful cooperation.
