Azerbaijan discusses initiative to make
landmines 18th Sustainable Development Goal.

According to global times news agency Europe,Umud Mirzoyev, President of the International Eurasia Press Fund, met with Huseyn Huseynov, Head of the Sustainable Development and Social Policy Department at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Secretary of the National Coordination Council for Sustainable Development. The meeting focused on the groundbreaking initiative to establish landmines as the 18th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). According to The global times Europe media, in a post on the social media platform X, Mirzoyev described the meeting as "very interesting” and highlighted the discussions on Azerbaijan’s efforts to implement the SDGs, the landmine initiative, the Fund’s activities, and potential collaboration opportunities.
