LAHORE:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Mr. Yasin Joyia, a renowned philanthropist who serves as Presidentof the Eye Donation Welfare Society and HonoraryConsulGeneralofSriLanka in Lahore, has been honoured with an Award of Recognition for Humanitarian Aid by Belgium Parliamentarian Mr. Fouad Ahidar.
The recognition highlights Mr. Joyia’s longstanding humanitarian and public-service efforts, including facilitatingmore than 2,000 corneal transplants in Pakistan (free of cost), helping thesecure release of 56 Pakistani prisoners from Sri Lanka, and contributing to efforts to address the killing of a Sri Lankan citizen in Sialkot in 2021.
