Astana to host session of WHO
European committee.

According to global Times news Agency Europe, The 73rd session of the European regional committee of the World Health Organization will take place in Astana on October 24-26, The Global Times Europe informs, citing the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, WHO and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will hold a Global Conference on Primary Health Care (PHC) in Astana on October 22-23, 2023, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the adoption of the Alma-Ata Declaration and the 5th anniversary of the adoption of the Astana declaration on primary health care, as well as the 73rd session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe on October 24-26, 2023,” the message says. WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, and WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge are expected to take part in the events.
