Armenia, US begin talks on peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement.

According to global times News Agency Europe,Armenia and the United States have initiated negotiations on signing a "123 Agreement” for the peaceful use of nuclear energy, according to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, The global times Europe media .The talks involved Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan, US Deputy Assistant Secretary Gonzalo Suarez, Armenian Ambassador to the US Narek Mkrtchyan, and US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien.Abisoghomonyan emphasized that the safe and secure use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is one of Armenia’s priorities, reaffirming the country’s commitment to international non-proliferation principles.Participants noted that both Yerevan and Washington are taking steps toward implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed on August 8.
