Armenia proposes to raise upper conscription age to 37.

According to global Times news agency Europe,Armenia proposes to raise the upper age limit for compulsory military service from 27 to 37 years.The global Times Europe media, that the corresponding legislative initiative was put forward by Hayk Sargsyan, a member of parliament from the ruling Civil Contract party.The proposal plans to amend the bill on military service and the status of servicemen, as well as the bill on state duty and the Criminal Code of Armenia.In addition to raising the age limit for service, it is proposed to set a duty of 15 million drams (about $40,000) for men who changed their citizenship before the age of 18. This amount will allow citizens over 27 who evaded military service to avoid criminal prosecution.The goal of the initiative is to increase the number of conscripts and prevent cases of men renouncing Armenian citizenship.
